Set and costume design for a realised production of Mary Stuart by Robert Icke at RWCMD. We wanted to create a contemporary production of this well known story of Queen Elizabeth and Mary Queen of Scotts for a modern day audience focusing on themes of duality and power.
"Two Queens. Both with a claim to the English throne. But only one can rule. This modern version of Schiller's political thriller is a riveting account of the epic power struggle between Queen Elizabeth I and her rival, Mary Queen of Scotts."
